Teen Charged with Murder After Allegedly Beheading Classmate-

A 15-year-old in #Lawrence#Massachusetts is now facing charges for the murder of a classmate, whose body was left decapitated by the MerrimackRiver last week.

On Saturday, MathewBorges was charged with the murder and decapitation of 16-year-old Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino, who originally went missing on Nov. 18 after leaving his grandmother's house and never making it home. "It's shocking, it's heartbreaking," Lawrence Police Chief James Fitzpatrick said during a news conference.

"I haven't seen anything like this in my career and I hope to never see anything like it again." Viloria-Paulino's body was not only decapitated, but severely mutilated. It was discovered on Thursday by a woman walking her dog.

According to police, the victim's head was discovered nearby the body; but the forearms had also been cut off, and it remains unclear if officers ever recovered them. "There's no words," the victim's mother Katiuska Paulino told the Boston Herald. "No words ... There's nothing I can say that is going to change anything at all."

People reports that Borges "allegedly stabbed and mutilated Lee’s body so severely that his autopsy took 11 hours." Multiple sources report that both teens attended Lawrence High School, however it is unclear what type of relationship they had and what possible motive could have led to this gruesome murder.

Borges reportedly told police that he had last seen Viloria-Paulino alive on Nov. 18 when the two went to the river to smoke marijuana. He says that they eventually parted ways, but the police report alleges that the 15-year-old confessed to the murder to a witness.

According to the WashingtonPost, the police report states

, "A witness told investigators that Mathew told him he did something bad," "Mathew then told him that he stabbed a kid and cut his head off, killing him. When Mathew said this he was motioning with his hands as if he was stabbing someone and cutting someone's head off. Mathew then walked out of the house." Borges is being held without bail and will return to court Jan. 10. He is being tried as an adult.
