The Nigerian Police have arrested three robbery suspects in Imo state. The suspects Chinedu Ogieri (29), Jaco Ogbu (26) and Chibueze Nwatameole (21) were said to use tricyled during their operations

The effort of the Commissioner of Police Imo State, CP Chris O. Ezike to cobweb the state against the perpetrators of crime and criminality has continued to record tremendous results. In an effort and determination to sustain the achievements so far recorded in combating crime and criminality in the state, operatives of the command Scorpion Squad while on routine patrol along Egbeada Ubomiri road in Mbaitoli L.G.A on 20/06/2017, received a tip off that a three man gang of armed robbers operating with tricycle and a Q-link motorcycle dispossessed a victim of her phones and other valuables on gun point. In a swift response, the operatives gave the hoodlums a hot chase which led to the arrest of the above named suspects. Suspects are responsible for early morning robberies of female jugglers’ handbags, phones and other valuables around Owerri and environs using tricycles (keke) and motorcycles.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects include:
i) One (1) Look alike gun
ii) One (1) Tricycle
iii) One (1) Q-Link motorcycle and
iv) One (1) Samsung J7 phone
Suspects are cooperating with investigation and will soon be charged to court according.
