Bonang & AKA denies having an affair release Statements

DJ Zinhle  who was dating rapper AKA before they ended their relationship abruptly in a blog post claimed that the rapper cheated on her with Bonang while she was pregnant with their child. Both Bonang and AKA have now released statements denying the claim.

DJ Zinhie in a post on her personal blog said

"A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba. I also received confirmation of the rumours through an honest conversation which I had with Kiernan, who confirmed that the affair had been going on for over 5 months"

Bonang released the following statements through her publicist.

This is to confirm that Ms Matheba is aware of the allegations made against her, and the media reports surrounding the matter.

We are taking these statements very seriously and are unfortunately unable to comment further as the issue has been handed over to Ms Matheba’s legal team.

We can however confirm that Ms Matheba is currently not involved in a relationship, as she has always stated. Bonang is solely focused on her work and the projects she is finalising to ensure she wraps up what has been an incredible year, with a bang.

Bonang is in good spirits and looking forward to the premiere of her E! News Special, which airs this evening on Dstv 124 at 8:00pm.

AKA however responded himself saying

As a result of DJ Zinhle's recent blog post, I feel the need to provide clarity on the allegations contained therein.

I would have preferred that this could have been dealt with privately. Break ups can be tough and emotionally draining for all involved. I would like to add that myself and Bonang Matheba are not an item and never have been.

My energies are focused on my career and my daughter at this time.
