Halle Berry is tired of her Ex Gabriel Aubrey treating her like a cash register. So she is taking him to court to make a judge force him to get a job instead of living off his child support her gets from her.
Halle Berry filed court documents last fall after deciding that paying $16,000 a month to Aubry for their daughter, Nahla, 7, was unacceptable. Berry is reportedly hoping to pay about a quarter of that, believing that Aubry doesn’t need much more than $4,000 a month in support.
Berry stated that she has no problem giving Aubry child support, but that he needs to have a full time job, and not be living off the paychecks that he receives from her.
“There is no case, no law, no logic that says a healthy, active man gets to simply live off child support that the wealthier mother earns,” the documentation reads in part.
Halle Berry will fight this in court as long as she can. She says that her ex has spent a lot of her money on his own personal needs, from fitness to clothing and accessories, though it is unknown if Berry has proof (or if she really needs any). Getting about $200,000 a year, Aubry doesn’t really need to work, and apparently he hasn’t been.
