KAI operatives invade Ojodu Berger Market, Forcefully eject roadside traders

In what was supposed to be a normal trading day for traders at Berger market at the Ojodu area of Lagos state, Men of KAI (Kick Against \Indiscipline ) invaded the market to disrupt street  traders from the daily activities.

The environment was tense as the traders can be seen crying and running helter skelter as they were left confused. DamiNsija Blog spoke to several eye witness who had different things to say depending on the side they were on.

A eye witness and a trader who i spoke to lamented

This na my only way to feed, I no get another way to feed my children, this thing wey them do so no good. (This is my only source of feeding, I do not have another way to feed my children, What they are doing is bad)

The Traders could be seen picking up their scattered  wares, trying to save whatever they can find.

However, I also spoke to a KAI official who told me that they have been sending letter and paying visits to the traders to inform them to vacate the road side and keep  the area free. According to him, the traders are very stubborn and they had no choice that to use a forceful approach otherwise, they will never leave.

The army later arrived to maintain peace in the area as the traders were very angry.

They should find them an alternative location. What do they expect the traders to do? Go hungry ?!
