Alibaba mandates Artistes, Comedians, performing at this January 1st concert to wear a suit! or skip the show

I am not sure about this being a good thing. One cannot take away the importance of dressing well at all times but making it compulsory for them to wear suit?   Top Comedian Alibaba is having a concert on the 1st of January and he has mandated all performing acts to wear a suit
#January1stConcert is a class act performance event. That means the dress code of performing artistes is defined. So whether you are a Comedian or a Musician or a Compere or a presenter.  You must either be wearing a tuxedo or a black tie. And because it's a premium family event, no vulgarity or blue jokes will be allowed. There is no age limit to attending this event.
There Will be Pastors, government officials, elder statesmen, top politicians, captains of industry, celebrities, discerning Nigerians, leaders of thought and distinguished Nigerians some of whom hardly attend these kinds of events.
They are not coming with their families to be embarrassed or worried about what they or their underage wards will be listening to. It's a high class comedy show, with a sprinkling of music and a special awards for people who did things or achieved something for the first time....
Oh I nearly forgot that there is the #Spontaneity2015bit. So if these are not down your street then you can skip #January1stConcert
