In another case of criminals who make the silliest mistake and get caught in the process, a man in Georgia has been arrested after he called crimestopper to try and turn himself in an attempt to claim the $500 reward that was promised to anyone who can give information leading to his arrest.
The 65 year old man identified as Ronald Jackson is currently being held at the Houston county detention center.
According to an officer , Deputy James Williams at the Crimestopper division office, Jackson who was wanted for several home invasions told the police
“I wasn’t even thinking they was gone lock me up. I thought maybe I turn myself in, they set me lose and cut me a check. Everybody could’ve won had it gone like I planned. I only did it because I am broke and I have to buy my mom a Christmas gift” says Jackson.According to the Crimestoppers division, they have never seen anything like this before.
“I couldn’t believe this. I thought someone was playing a prank when we were informed that a fugitive had given himself up for the reward money”
