My parents supported my acting career - Kehinde Bankole

Pretty actress Kehinde Bankole who has featured in TV series like Papa AJasco, Superstory and many movies including Funke Akindele's widely acclaimed Jenifa said unlike most of her colleagues who has problems convincing their parents about delving into acting, she always had the support of her parents.

Unlike most people, my parents never had a problem with my choice of career. I started in the church drama but they were a bit bothered because they felt I was spending so much time in church. I had to explain to them that aside from drama rehearsals, I still had to attend church service and choir rehearsal.
They were interested in me becoming an actress but they didn’t want it to take too much of my time because they were concerned it would affect my education. It was during that time I had my WASSCE and UTME among others. Once I got into the university and they saw that I had crossed that hurdle, it was easier for them to accept my career choice,” she said.
