When Jamal Lyon (played by Jussie Smollet) took that fall and everyone thought he would die and be written off empire story line, here is what I had to say;
I personally think producers of the show are playing a fast on viewers. First of all, Jamal did not say the word "Leave". He said he thoroughly enjoyed his time on the show. Time to make a record and some movies is what he said.
If you think a bit outside the box, it might mean. make a record and some movies while I wait for season three filming to kick off. And the trailer, they said A Lyon will fall...Jamal did fall when he got shot but in a typical mischievous fashion, they use fall not "Killed"
So relax empire fans, our darling Jamal will be fine!
I am usually the "Doubting Thomas". Well, Jamal proved me right when he took to Instagram to say exactly what I said. H never said he was leaving the show. Well to many he did, but If you are the type that hold people to their words like me, then you tend to listen word for word because "anything you say would be used against you in the court of law" Right!

According to him, He said he thoroughly enjoyed his time on the show - true. He is making a record and some movies - true...Where did he say he was leaving. hahaha. I know his type.
