Lady Seyi and Madam Tiwa's beef is not new guys, it goes way back to the beginning of their music career. Both women, based outside the country with a dream to break through the Nigerian music industry. They were on a mission. The same mission. Along the line, their paths crossed and things got complicated.
A mischievous music producer gave them the same beat. Around the time Tiwa was about to release her song, Seyi heard her version and they argued about it. That is my song.....No, that is my song....they went on and on until they realized the fault was from the music producer. Read on. It gets more interesting.
In an interview in 2016 Seyi Shay opened up on the situation. She even called Tiwa Savage her sister which is different from what she said in her interview with Ebuka on Rubbing minds where she famously said she doesn't know who Tiwa is.
The song in question was Tiwa's "Kele Kele" & Seyi's "No Lele".
No Lele
Kele Kele
Tiwa Savage made it first in the industry and left Seyi Shay behind at that time, she was the bigger star. It took Seyi Shay longer but she finally made it. Now the two are playing a game of "Who is the biggest Diva"
