Family win $169 million after husband accidentally bought wrong tickets.

A Staten Island, New York, couple struck it rich in January when Vito Viola strayed from his wife Nancy Viola's directions, and purchased a Mega Millions ticket instead of a Power ball ticket, Today reports.
"He didn't listen to me. He bought $20 in Powerball and little did I know, he also bought Mega tickets as well," Viola told the morning talk show. "He had $1 left over so he didn't buy a Powerball because Powerball is $2. He bought a dollar of Mega."
Thanks to Vito's spontaneous buy, the Viola's got a piece of the Powerball frenzy that took over the country at the beginning of the year, taking home $169 million of the $900 million jackpot.
Because the jackpot was $900 million," Nancy told the New York Daily News. "It was big. It was all everybody was walking about. He didn't listen." The day after her husband bought the ticket, Nancy reportedly heard that a winning ticket was bought at the same location her husband got the Quick Pick Mega Millions ticket from. Starting with the Mega ball number, she checked the ticket and realized they were winners.
"I checked all the other numbers. They all matched and can you imagine what that was like?" Nancy added. "I thought I was having a heart attack. There was a little screaming."
