", I'll never fully forget how I was treated because I'm African to the Americans and American to the Africans." Emma Nyra open up.

Nigerian American singer Emma Nyra has revealed that growing up as an African American is not as easy as people think.  She said things are really complicated because the Americans treat you like and African while the Africans treat you like an American.
Growing up African in America was not as easy as many people think. Unfortunately African Americans are taught virtually nothing about Africa and many don't even identify with Africa at all! I always found it weird that white people AND black Americans especially, used to
single me out or treat me differently because I'm African. Although I'm happy now that everyone is embracing Africa and acting like Africa is a trend, I'll never fully forget how I was treated because I'm African to the Americans and American to the Africans.
