This is a sad news to report. A baby, 3 months old has died after being dropped by a babysitter. It was an accident. On December 22nd, the Dad took to Facebook to lament . He wrote;
My little baby boy is dying and there's nothing I can do to help or comfort him, I don't know if he can hear, see, taste or touch anymore. My heart has been torn out of my chest. I will miss feeding, burping, holding, playing, bathing, pretend yelling and disciplining, tummy time, putting him to bed, putting on his clothes, stretching his neck to fix his torticollis and especially changing his diaper. He is such a friendly, smiling and happy baby and we gave him all the love we could. I regret that we will not be able to see him grow up and have all the life experiences anyone should expect to have. I love you Reece and hopefully there's a heaven so I'll be able to see your goofy little smile again someday.
Mark Modzelewski and Nicole Nicastro parents of the little boy took him off life support two days later. Reece Modzelewski was their only child. Stating the obvious and revealing the day he took his child off child support will be the worst day of his life, the devastated father wrote in another post.
Everyone has been very wonderful with their kind words and generosity. If anything, it all is a distraction to the nightmare that is slowly approaching later today. A lot of people have had children in the past few months and I was kinda hoping that Reece would be able to meet them, play with them and go to school with some of them over the upcoming years but that won't be possible anymore. A second of misfortune will turn into a lifetime of pain as is the case with most tragedies. The fact that this happening so close to christmas and right between both of our birthdays will only make it more difficult. A lot of people asked me what they can do to help and I told them to give their kids a hug and kiss. I didn't want Reece in the beginning and now theres nothing I want back more than him. Today will be the worst day of my life.
According to finding, The babysitter told officers that Reece “accidentally fell from her arms and hit the floor with his head,” Saddle Brook Police Chief Robert Kugler told NJ.com.
