Outraged mum Tionna Norris, shares letter she received from teacher complaining about her daughter's hair.

A mum was outraged after she got a note from a teacher telling her to reduce the amount of coconut oil she put in her daughter's hair because the other kids are teasing  her because they think her hair stinks. While the teacher's note was not directly condemning, the mum was still irritated and took to social media to complain.

Sharing a photo of the note beside a lovely photo of her daughter's hair, she wrote "*applies the same amount of coconut oil* y'all gone feel that black girl magic. Sincerely, unapologetically black mom. P.s. Coconut oil has no stinky smell."

She went on to question why she would not use coconut oil on her daughter's hair.

After the post, people  had mixed feelings,  and she questioned the hate her daughter was receiving.  She wrote "It is so hard to sit here and watch people "bash my daughter" on some of these comments on these blogs and not go ape shit  but then I realize you're speaking on a child you never seen who is currently in her room watching frozen screaming to the top of her lungs "let it goooooooo." Lol"

Then she went on to explain why her daughter's hair need that much oil.

My daughter is the most sweetest person I know, honestly. And for someone to try to put her down because of her hair (that is long and beautiful) is just ridiculous. She needs her hair oiled, she's an African American child. I don't send her to school for her hair to be judged anyway. I send her to get the best education and I pay for it too!!!!! This is truly sad!

In all fairness, the teacher's message was not so bad but as a teacher,  she owes it a duty to teach the other children acceptance. Rather than send a note, she could have spoken to the mother directly.

What are your thoughts.
