21 year Old Allen Mcqueen Gunned down while taking His daughter to the Park.

This is such a Sad story. According to the Newyork Times. A 21 year old man was gunned down while taking his 1 year old baby to the park. 

A 21-year-old man holding his 1-year old daughter was fatally shot in the back across the street from an elementary school abutting a city playground in the Bronx on Tuesday, the police said.

The victim, Allen McQueen, was shot once by a gunman who approached him around 1:19 p.m. in front of 1535 Taylor Avenue, on the block where he lived, according to the police.The gunman shot once and missed, then fired two more rounds as Mr. McQueen tried to run away, the police said. Officials said Mr. McQueen was struck once in the back, and pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center, where his daughter was taken for observation and treated for a bump on her head.

The police had earlier said that Mr. McQueen had been shot in the head.The gunman fled in a Mercedes-Benz; a suspect had not been identified or arrested by Tuesday night, the police said. Officials described the suspect only as a black man in his 20s wearing black clothing with white lettering.

The police said they were trying to determine if the shooting was gang-related. The victim was a member of a group called the Taylor Avenue Crew and had 23 prior arrests, some for violent crimes, dating from 2006, a police official said.The man was shot across the street from the Bronx Little Elementary School. The school is next door to the Taylor Playground, which has slides, swings, a handball court and a spray shower for young children.
