In a statement released by the Nigerian Police (Airport command) for smoking on a plane. According to the statements released by the P.R.O, the suspect who was in the Lavatory where he lit a cigarette and started smoking which triggered the alarm system causing panic among the passengers of the Nigerian bound London flight.
He was apprehended on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International airport Lagos. He has been arraigned on a two count charges in accordance with section 2(1) of the FAAN bye law 2005 and section 166(1) (d) of the criminal law of Lagos State.
