The most anticipated music awards show in Nigeria will hold tonight and the fans are very interested in a particular category "The Next Rated". It is an award that has been won by the likes of Wande Coal, Wizkid, Davido and the idea of this category is to award who will be the next superstar.
The Nominees:
Lil Kesh: He is a top contender for the award. The YBNL singer has dished out major hit songs like Efejoku , Shoki, Lyrically , Is it because I love you and many more. You cannot hear a song by this sharp singer come on and remain dancing. If you do, you need to check what the problem is.
Korede Bello: I was discussing with my brother and I recall telling him Korede Bello is a top contender. Why? I would like to think that the ability of the musician to stand the test of time would count in giving out the award ( at the end of the day no one knows who would last in the industry) but then Korede won me over with #MrRomantic
Kiss Daniel: What is peculiar about Kiss Daniel is the fact that his rise to fame was irrespective of a any attachment to an already established artiste. Like Kesh who has Olamide as a mentor or Korede who has Donjazzy. His hit track Woju o made him the second most searched artiste /musician in Nigeria behind Olamide.
Reekado Banks: If i made Reekado Banks my number one, people that know me will cry foul. I am a big fan of this guy. Reekado stole our hearts when he did the hook for one of Nigeria's biggest song till date "Dorobucci". Nominated alongside his label mate Korede Bello, Reekado banks has many hit tracks to his credit like Chop Am, Katapot and many more.
Cynthia Morgan: All hail Cynthia. In an industry where women feel choked and barely find their spot to compete against the guys. Cynthia has been persistent. with hit tracks with Samanthia , German Juice, this lady is battling it out with the guys.
