Handling fame is tougher than gaining fame. Richard Mofe Damijo speaks

While searching for fame, some people forget how hard it would be to handle fame. There you are struggling as an actor or an entertainer and suddenly you become famous but the cash is not rolling in yet. You need to go out so you still have to enter a bus or jump on an okada.

There you are on the street, everyone is staring. I thought he starred in that movie? Didn't he do a song with this or that person? That is the scenario that came to my mind when RMD's post came through my timeline. How do you handle the judgmental stares you get? etc.

He said;
The discipline to graciously handle fame is more important than the struggle to gain fame. It is a persons ability to handle the trappings (of fame) that determines his/her staying power - Richard Mofe-Damijo
