The Nigerian film & video Censors Board have placed on Ban on the internationally acclaimed Half of a yellow Sun
The movie, which is an adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie's Novel of the same title, was directed by Biyi Bandele. It is a love story that follows two sisters who are caught up in the outbreak of the Nigerian Civil War. the cast include stars like Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Onyeka Onwenu, Genevieve Nnaji and OC Ukeje.
The film promoters are working on the movie to remove the offensive sections and get the film approved.
According to reports, the film is being stopped from getting into the market due to the parts that tend to whip up tribal sentiments, especially on issues that led to the Nigerian civil war.
