Over 37 women
have accused Mr. Cosby of rape for assaults that allegedly happened decades
ago. Among them, three women have gone further to sue him for defamation of
character when his representatives addressed the rape allegations through
a statement to the media.
His lawyers, have said that the actor have acted in self-defense
when he addressed the issue in the media. They
argued that some of the comments he made are protected while others have
expired due to the status of limitation, for this reason they asked the judge to throw out the case. The judge did
not rule immediately.
