Meryl L. Streep reveals how she was turned down at King Kong audition for being too ugly

Wow!!! It a very eye opening post on her Facebook page, Hollywood actress and academy award winner Meryl Streep revealed how she was turned down for a role in King Kong because she was described as "too ugly" . She looks beautiful if you ask me. The now successful actress said about the encounter;
"This was me on my way home from an audition for King Kong where I was told I was too "ugly" for the part. This was a pivotal moment for me. This one rogue opinion could derail my dreams of becoming an actress or force me to pull myself up by the boot straps and believe in myself. I took a deep breath and said "I'm sorry you think I'm too ugly for your film but you're just one opinion in a sea of thousands and I'm off to find a kinder tide." Today I have 18 Academy Awards.

 Today, Meryl Streep is one of the best actress in Hollywood history.  She has numerous awards for her acting.

A previous post she shared in October about how she has been bullied alot and called ugly by many.

The actress has played top roles in movies like |The Devil wears Prada" , "Iron Lady" , "The french Lieutenant's woman", "out of Africa" . "A cry in the dark" to mention a few.
