A 13 year old James Franic has been offered a scholarship to study at one of the most expensive colleges in Britain for being exceptionally talented and he will resume this September. Voice Online reports that;
A TALENTED pupil from Bromley, south London, is set to attend one of Britain’s most prestigious schools after being offered a £30,000 a year scholarship.
James Francis, 13, who plays the double bass, piano and is a chorister at the Westminster Abbey Choir School will begin studying at Eton this September.
Eton College in Windsor, Berkshire, is one of the most expensive public schools in Britain and has educated a host of world leaders including the former British prime minister David Cameron and new foreign minister Boris Johnson.
Reflecting on the offer from Eton College James said: “I’m very happy to be offered a scholarship at such a prestigious school. The atmosphere at Eton is very friendly and I like the way everything is run there. I can’t wait to start, but I’m still adjusting to what has happened to me.”
The school recognised James’ musical talent. However the 13-year-old is undecided about what his future career may be.
Recent visits to the Houses of Parliament have stimulated an interest in politics.
But he also enjoys composing and is currently writing and editing a piano duet with a friend.
He said: “I really enjoy playing music and spend a lot of time practising and composing, which I hope to continue into the future.”
