'The church used to be a refuge, now it is a glorified business place' - Lepacious Bose speaks.

Lepacious Bose in a lengthy post on social media has called out the church for no longer being a refuge for the hopeless in the society. She called the church today a glorified business school. 

The church used to be a refuge.... A hiding place..... The hope for the hopeless... Now it's become a social gathering, a glorified seminar, business school, motivational speaking.... Do I have issues with any church in particular???? No!!! Absolutely not! And to assume such will be denying the truth as we have been doing for years. It's not about a particular church, it's about THE CHURCH, YOU AND I.... see if we as the church are doing the great commission, the world will be a better place, suicide will not be a casual bc from people who didn't even send you a bc during Xmas, domestic killings will not be common place even between couples that were in church together, the same day the killing happened. 

I know some will crucify me for these posts but honestly am past caring, choir get dress code, ushers get, prayer warriors get even sanctuary keepers get, so tey those who can't afford to dress like that don't feel they belong and therefore they slip in and out of church, without really belonging. We see each other in church but we don't really know each other.... We look at each other but we don't really "see" each other....

 What to wear to church has taken over what will happen in church. We give to be known not because the word says so.... O ti su mi... Amono tete wa ooo notori aiye ndaru ooo ese tin gori ese tete ma bo ooo.... I miss the old time church honestly, a song might only be 3 lines but we would sing it until we connected with heaven, now gospel songs are more hip than Hip Hop, some even convert circular songs lol.... I have nothing against funky gospel songs ooo in fact I rock them a lot, but I still miss those simple spirit filled songs.... We would worship and lie down on dusty untiled floors, now to kneel down on rugged floor in church na exam.... 

We don't win new souls, what we have is rotational Christians, people who used to attend this church but now attend that, then that, serial Christians everywhere... But do I blame them..... No... They are going around because something is missing and they feel disconnected, it's time for the church to rise and be the missing link that God originally planned it to be, not THE WEAK LINK
