Family Christmas photo slammed over women wearing duct tape with their wrist bound.

A family's Christmas photo has gone viral but for all the wrong reasons. the photo, which shows the female's  with their mouths taped shut and wrists bound has led to outrage as a lot of people felt the photo depicts violence against women.

While the dad of the Johnson's family held on to a sign that read  'Peace on Earth' his little son can be seen giving a thumbs up sign to the Camera. A lot of people felt really bad about the picture since the men were captured in disgnified positions but  not the mother and daughters'.

The images were taken and shared by Hannah Hawkes, a photographer in Louisiana who has been slammed for the shots which people have called 'offensive'.

Reactions on Facebook were not positive;

 "It not only scares and disgusts me that the husband would request such a photo, it is even worse that his wife would agree to it... and agree to show their children what hate and ignorance looks like.

"Apparently this is all ok in their universe. Ignorance, hatred, bigotry and misogyny are alive and well, unfortunately.

"Ironic that they chose such a view to celebrate the life of a man who TRIED to teach loving acceptance of all, regardless of their sex or station in life."

While another photo showing the whole family wearing duct tape was released, the damage had already been done.

The photographer responsible for the pictures who has been slammed took to facebook to react to the public outrage.

After being silent, now isn't that ironic, I would like to speak! I have been called every name in the book, and have received some very hateful and vulgar comments and messages. I would like to say that as a female I do NOT and have never promoted violence to women! I do not support abuse, or the degradation of women. My controversial photo was taken by request by the family, and was in no way meant to promote abuse.
This photo was taken with humor in mind, and was meant as a comical Christmas photo. I personally know this family, and have known them for many years. They are not abusive to their children in any shape or form. Also, I would like to add that no one was harmed during the process! So everyone have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and MAY GOD BLESS you and yours!
